Freedom or Security

My first idea was to have a bird caged in a ribcage, representing the paradox between security and freedom.
It didnt show so clearly, so I came up with another idea, to have the ribs broken near the place the heart would be (behind it), with the bird sitting on the ribs. So this would represent the "freedom" aspect, of breaking the cage and moving beyond. The redness of the bird is a reference to the heart.

So this is the design.

Free Your Mind

This design represents 'freeing your mind', where the butterflies represent the freedom aspect, and the tear represents the pain that comes along with the process. Because it is often not easy to really free your mind from your programming.

Little bird sitting on skeleton hand

My newest design, which took me quite some more time.
Personally, my favourite so far! New cool ideas are in the making.

The print came out looking amazing!

Welcome to Skelethal Design!

I was thinking about designing a shirt that I would love to wear myself. Not just a shirt that you can find everywhere and which has no creativity in it, but something that is different, and cool to look at.

After some sketches, the idea of Skelethal came about. Skelethal presents the rawness of our existence as living creatures, together with the lethality of our realm.
More designs will be uploaded in the future, which will be put available to order as a shirt design (or otherwise).

The designs are first drawn by hand. I have used mainly pictures of museum skeletons to get an idea on how animal skeletons look like. Since I cannot just invent it up from scratch! After the drawing is done, the image colors have been adjusted with photoshop.

So I present you the very first Skelethal design! The design has been uploaded in lower quality.
